Bond is the nickname we’ve given a former race horse named Stealth Attack. He came to us in June 2017 when an alarm sounded in the rescue community that a “war horse” was going through the auction ring and was at risk of being purchased by a kill buyer. Stealth Attack, had 102 starts and made $180k during his racing career and ran until he was 13 years old. He arrived with a badly injured hind leg. After five weeks of doctoring he’s all healed up and enjoying pasture life. He seems as if he’s still interested in working so we’ll evaluate him under saddle and try to find him a new owner. In the meantime, he’s befriended our 31-YO retired show horse and they’re hanging out together.
